A small cottage from the early 1900’s located in Schuyler, VA was the core of this project. The Owners were looking for a much needed addition to keep up with their growing family. The original home had suffered a series of unfortunate additions and modifications, which all needed to be removed and cleaned up before the work of creating an addition could begin.

We designed the addition to fit with the original cottage styling, wanting to keep the small cottage feel for a much larger home. The Owners wanted an addition that would accommodate 3 bedrooms, a full bath, laundry room; a small study room/office was also included. The original home also needed a complete renovation including a new kitchen, complete remodeling and expansion of the existing bathroom and rebuilding the front porch.
